The Second Objective Hex Open

Draft 5, ban 1, play 3
The Second Objective Hex Open
The premise of this tournament is to try a new format for selecting war bands. Instead of choosing four at the start of the tournament and playing three each round, we will draft five champions prior to each round, ban one of our opponent’s champions, and select our final three.
Here is the procedure for setting up a round for this tournament:
Step 1: Both players roll five Godtear dice, re-rolling any ties. The player with the higher result chooses to be PLAYER A or PLAYER B.
Step 2: PLAYER A selects a champion and its follower unit to be part of their war band. This champion is no longer available for PLAYER B to select. Then PLAYER B player chooses a champion its follower unit to be part of the PLAYER B's war band which then becomes unavailable for PLAYER A to select. Repeat this until both players have five unique champions and their follower units.
Step 3: PLAYER A chooses one of the five champions from PLAYER B’s draft and bans them from the game. Player B may not use this champion this round. PLAYER B then bans one of Player A’s champions.
Step 4: Both players secretly choose the three champions they will use for this game, leaving one of the four available inactive. Once both players have chosen, both players SIMULTANEOUSLY REVEAL their final warbands.
Step 5: PLAYER B is the first player on turn 1 and must deploy first as usual. Play the game normally.

If a player is unavailable to play for a single round, their current opponent will receive the option of taking either a draw (0-0) or win (6-0). If the opponent has no choice we will default to a win.
